Nursery Rhymes.

Payton’s nursery is my own personal oasis. I’d be lying if I said I decorated it with the thought “what would Payton like?”. I started with the furniture from Bassett and chose to order everything in white. Next, I found the flamingo prints on Etsy and knew this was going to be the inspiration for her room. From there, every item was hand picked to go along with those prints, and a week before we welcomed her into this world, the nursery was complete.

A lot of people would think it’s crazy to have such a white room for a baby, but so far (4 weeks) so good. However, I’d also be lying if I said we use her nursery all that much. She sleeps in her crib for some daytime naps, and we change her on her changing pad every now and then, but she basically lives in our room.  For feeding (and my sanity) purposes, it’s just easier that way. But, we do use the rocker a good bit, and it is truly the most comfortable chair I’ve ever sat in. Add the comfy pillow for lower back support, and you basically rock yourself to sleep.

Once she starts sleeping through the night we’ll put her in her crib….maybe….we’ll play it be ear…

Shop the nursery items I’ve linked below. If there’s anything you like that’s not linked, just ask!

  1. Love it! It’s so pretty yet simple and relaxing. A perfect oasis for Payton to grow up in. Can’t wait to redo the twins nursery once we find out home.
